Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my gaming PC, which currently has a Ryzen 5 5400 CPU, a Gigabyte RX 580 OC with 8GB VRAM, and an AM4 DSH3 V2 A520M motherboard. I want to play most AAA games from this generation at 1080p. My budget is between $280 and $340, and I'm aiming for frame rates around 60 to 80 FPS. Also, do you think I should consider using copper heatsinks for the VRMs?

First off, what's your budget looking like? I see you're aiming for 60 to 80 FPS, which is definitely achievable! With a budget of $280 to $340, I'd suggest either the RTX 2080 Ti or the RTX 3070 if you can find them at a good price. The 3070 does only have 8GB of VRAM, though. If you can stretch your budget a bit, I'd recommend saving up for a Radeon 7900 XT or the 5070 Ti because those will be better in the long run!

Yeah, those are solid options! Just keep an eye on the VRAM, especially for future games.

Thanks for the recommendations! I’ll definitely consider saving for the newer cards.

By the way, I noticed you mentioned a Ryzen 5400. Just double-check if that’s actually a laptop CPU! Did you mean the Ryzen 4500 instead? A better CPU might help you avoid bottlenecks when you upgrade your GPU.
