Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on pairing a graphics card with a 9700K CPU. I just built a new system and have given away my old one, which had a 9700K paired with a 2080 Ti. I'm now planning to give the rest of the system to a friend who wants a new GPU to go with the 9700K. I understand that the 9700K might struggle with newer hardware, so what do you think would be a good choice?

You might want to look into getting a 3070 or a 5060 Ti with 16GB. They should pair decently with the 9700K, though I've heard the 5060 Ti can have issues with PCIe 3.0. Just keep in mind the 9700K might hold you back a bit, so it’s all about finding a balance.
If you swap out that 'k' for an 'x', you’ll open up way more options! Just messing around, but seriously, a little upgrade could go a long way!
Used 3070 Ti or 3080 with 10GB are still pretty affordable and would make a solid pairing with the 9700K. You'd definitely see good performance without breaking the bank.
Honestly, just get a used 3080. I think that's the best choice for compatibility and performance. It's a good GPU for the 9700K.
Haha, I just built my new rig with a 9800X3D!
