I'm currently building my PC and need advice on which GPU to choose. My setup includes a Ryzen 5 7600x3d processor, a 2TB NVMe drive, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and a B650 motherboard. I'm looking to game at 1440p, especially titles like Rust, and my budget is between $300 and $550.

If you're aiming for 1440p gaming, you're really looking at something like the RX 9070 or RX 5070, which are hard to find under $600 right now. The RX 9060XT is also a good option that can be found for around $420, and it can handle 1440p pretty well. Just be aware that if you go with the 5060Ti, you'll see about a 20% drop in performance compared to the others, but it could still hit around 60fps with Rust. Overall, if you can stretch your budget, I’d recommend aiming for the 5070 or 9070 for a better experience.

Check out local Walmart deals too; many folks are spotting the RTX 5070 there for about $550! If you're looking at used options, an RTX 3080 or RTX 4070 could also be viable choices. But overall, I'd say save up for the higher-end cards if you can.

I've been using a 9060XT for everything except Cyberpunk, and it runs like a champ, around 100fps. If Rust is your main focus, that might be a solid pick for you. But if you can, hold out for a 9070 or 5070; they'll definitely serve you better in the long run!

Honestly, the RX 5070 is priced around $550, and if you keep an eye on places like Walmart, you might scoop one up for that price. I wouldn't recommend the 5060 unless you find it at a really low price, since it has only 8GB of VRAM, which isn't great for future-proofing.

A lot of people are saying the RX 9070 or Radeon 5070 would be the way to go, especially if you're after a decent FPS at 1440p. For instance, I’ve hit around 140fps on Rust with my system, running an 8GB 3070 with a 5700x3d. If you can manage $650, that's where I'd aim for either of those GPUs. They're the real deal for the latest games!
