I'm looking for some advice on choosing a graphics card for my build. I'm aiming for a 6000-series card in the future to play at 1440p, but in the meantime, I'm considering a 5000-series card. I'm torn between getting a 5060 for a budget-friendly system to play at 1080p or spending a bit more on a 5070 to play at 1440p. Any insights would be really helpful!

It really comes down to your budget. If you're only able to afford a 5060, then that may be your best bet. But if you can stretch it and get a 5070 comfortably, then I think that's the way to go!
Honestly, I wouldn’t wait for the 6000 series cards. Just get the best option available right now. The performance bump from the 50 series to the 40 series wasn’t significant. If you want 1440p, consider getting the RX 9070 16GB or RX 9070 XT 16GB. Even the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB or RX 9060 XT 16GB will work nicely, especially if you use MFG and DLSS.

Is the upgrade from 1080p to 1440p really worth it, though?
