Hey everyone! I'm looking for some recommendations on which graphics card to get that would pair nicely with my current PC setup. I'm not shooting for the highest settings, but I would love to play my games on at least high settings. So far, I mainly play Dota 2 and Tekken 8. Here's what I have:
- Motherboard: MSI H510M-A PRO
- CPU: Intel i7 11th Gen
- RAM: Currently 8GB DDR4 (but planning to upgrade to 16GB or more)
- Power Supply: Gigabyte P650B - 650 Watts
Thanks for any help you can provide!

Just a quick correction, the RAM is DDR4. Sorry about that typo!
How are you thinking of getting DDR5 on an 11th gen system? Just curious, which specific i7 model do you have — is it the 11700, 11700K, or 11700F? Anyway, a RTX 3060 (12GB) should work well for you if you have the 11700 or the K/F versions of it.
Honestly, your setup is a bit on the older side. Just a heads up, it seems like your motherboard only supports DDR4, not DDR5. Your CPU should still be alright for less demanding games. The main concern is the RAM since even 16GB is just okay these days, but it should be fine for older games like Dota 2. For a graphics card, I’d recommend something mid-range like the 5060 Ti or 9060 XT. If you want to be more future-proof, look for a GPU with 16GB of RAM; 8GB won’t cut it for much longer. If you’re looking to save some cash, consider the Intel B580 for a good balance of price and performance, or inspect the used market for last-gen cards.
Yeah, it's an old setup, but just to clarify, the RAM is actually DDR4. I just snagged this PC recently specifically to play Dota 2, and it’s serving me well. I appreciate your suggestions!
Just to confirm, you should be using DDR4 since your motherboard won’t support DDR5. DDR4 RAM is pretty cheap now, so I’d suggest bumping up to 32GB. What’s your budget for a graphics card, by the way?
I appreciate the tip! How fast would a 32GB upgrade get me? Could I reach around 4000MHz? For the graphics card, I think I’m looking at a budget of around $350.

Thanks for the heads up! I do have the 11700.
