Hey there! A couple of years ago, I built a PC with a Ryzen 5 3400G that I mainly used for schoolwork. Now, I'm looking to add a dedicated graphics card to boost my gaming experience. I've seen some folks suggest using an RTX 2060 Super, but I've heard it can create some bottlenecking with my CPU. I'm also considering the RTX 3050. I'd really like to hear what graphics cards you think would work well, even if they might bottleneck a bit, since I do plan on upgrading my processor down the line. I currently have 16 GB of DDR4 RAM. Thanks in advance for your advice! 😊

You shouldn't really have any major bottleneck issues with the 2060 Super; it should work well with your Ryzen 5 3400G.

I always recommend getting the best GPU you can afford. It’s better to invest once and not worry too much about bottlenecks. Plus, changing other parts of the PC can be done over time at a lower cost. You could even sell your 3400G for about $35-$40, then grab a better CPU like the 3100 for $20-$30. You'll see much better performance, not to mention better specs all around with more L3 cache and GPU bandwidth. If you’re willing to spend a little more later, look at options like the 3300X or 3600, which are solid upgrades.

In general, I just buy the best GPU I can afford without worrying too much about potential bottlenecks. It's worth it in the long run!
