I've noticed that my storage is nearly full, and after running WizTree, I found a file labeled (No extension) that's taking up about 8.4 GB. I'm not sure what this file is, or whether it's safe to delete. Can anyone help me identify it? I would provide a link to the WizTree results, but I can't post images here.

It sounds like you’ve come across a file that doesn't have a proper extension, which can sometimes happen with temporary or corrupted files. It's tough to say without seeing the details, but if it's 8.4 GB, it's worth investigating further. You could try using disk cleanup tools to see if it suggests anything about that file before deleting it. Just make sure you don’t delete anything vital to your system.
I totally get your situation! Files without extensions can be tricky. They might be leftover junk from old programs or just poorly named files. If WizTree shows the file's location, see if you can track down what program created it. You could also try moving it to another folder instead of deleting it right away, just in case you need it later.
