I recently built my PC with a Ceres 300 TG case, and I'm trying to figure out what this cable is that's coming out of the front of the case. I've got an MSI X570 motherboard, but I can't seem to find anything that matches this connector on it. Can anyone help identify it? Here's a link to the image: https://imgur.com/a/TQdhKwC.

Actually, if you do have a Thunderbolt USB-C port on your motherboard, it could be for that. Usually, it’s located near the regular USB headers. Just something to double-check!

That cable is for the USB-C front panel connector. Your MSI X570 motherboard probably doesn't have a port for it, as that header wasn’t very common back then. You might want to check the specs for your motherboard if you're uncertain.

Looks like a USB-C connection! It sounds like your motherboard won’t support it. If you're keen on using that port, considering a solution like a USB-C expansion card might help.

Yeah, it's definitely for the USB-C port on your case. If your motherboard doesn’t have that header, you could look for a converter, but keep in mind it won’t be as fast as using a native port.

This could also be a Micro SATA cable. You might want to trace it back to see if it's connected to anything on the front of your case.
