Hey everyone! I've been out of the PC building scene for a few years now, and last time I was looking at a setup with a Ryzen 5 3600, an Nvidia 3060, and 16GB of RAM. I mainly play Fortnite and other FPS games, so I'm curious about what would be a solid build for 1080p gaming with a budget of $1,000, focusing on new parts. Any recommendations based on what's available today?

You can actually push some good graphics at 1440p with that budget, but for 1080p, the 9060 XT or a 5060 TI will both give you great performance. I’d recommend leaning towards the 9060 XT, it’s a strong card!
Hey! I put together a nice build for under $1,000 that should serve you well for 1080p gaming. Here's what I found:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X for about $180
- **Cooler**: Thermalright Assassin King for around $19
- **Motherboard**: MSI PRO B650M-P for about $120
- **Memory**: 32GB DDR5-6000 for about $85
- **Storage**: 1TB NVMe SSD for about $57
- **GPU**: ASRock Challenger OC Radeon RX 9060 XT for around $370
- **Case**: Cooler Master Q300L for about $40
- **PSU**: Montech 850W Gold Fully Modular for around $90
Totaling around $960, this build includes parts that’ll not only handle Fortnite but also give you some headroom for future games. Let me know if you have questions!
Thanks for the breakdown! I was worried about the GPU selection, but the 9060XT is definitely appealing.
Solid choices! I like how you went with 32GB of RAM—perfect for gaming and multitasking.
