Hey everyone! I got an Acer GX-781 from a family member, but it didn't come with a hard drive. I'm totally green when it comes to this stuff and I need some guidance on what kind of hard drive I should be looking for. Is there a specific type I should stick to, or can I just choose one as long as it meets certain specs? It's an older PC, and while I don't expect it to handle heavy games like Genshin Impact, it would be great to play something simpler, like The Sims. Any help would be super appreciated! (Also, apologies if my English isn't perfect!)

I'd suggest using an SSD instead of an HDD if you can. Most PCs from the last couple of decades will support a 2.5" SATA SSD. Just check if it can also handle M.2 NVMe SSDs, which are popular these days, but the SATA ones are a solid bet!
You'll want to go with a SATA drive, which should work perfectly for your Acer. A 2.5" SATA SSD is a great choice, even if it's a bit less common. It'll perform much better than a traditional hard drive!
I’m glad you’re looking into this! About the Kingston NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 1TB M.2 SSD you mentioned—unfortunately, it won't work. You need a SATA M.2 SSD since the interface is different, or you can also use a 2.5" SSD. Here’s a list of compatible options to help you out: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/internal-hard-drive/#D=0&t=0&A=800000000000,24000000000000&sort=price&page=1
