What kind of PC do I need to make the most of my 180Hz 1440p monitor?

Hey everyone! I'm new to the PC world and could really use some guidance. I just got a Lenovo Legion 27" QHD monitor that runs at 1440p with a super impressive 180Hz refresh rate, and it has features like an IPS panel, 0.5ms response time, VESA Certified DisplayHDR400, and Adaptive Sync with AMD FreeSync. I don't have any PC parts yet, so I'm looking for recommendations on a setup that can fully utilize my monitor for gaming. I want to play games like Rocket League, Fortnite, Minecraft, Roblox (like Blox Fruits), Overwatch 2, and Call of Duty Warzone. It's also important that my PC has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as I don't use an ethernet cable. Ideally, I'd like at least 2TB of storage, and I prefer not to overclock anything. A setup with some cool RGB lights and a black casing would be nice, but I'm open to anything. Lastly, I'll need a mouse, keyboard, and headset that I can get for around $100 total. Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated!

For a full PC build, I'd suggest looking into pre-built options if you're not comfortable assembling one yourself. Brands like Dell or HP sometimes have good gaming PCs that meet your specs. Set your budget first, and then check r/buildapcforme to see if they have any suggestions on recent builds that fit your needs.

Also, don’t forget to consider a decent power supply; it’s crucial for a long-lasting setup!

Great suggestion about pre-builts! I’ll definitely check those out.

You’re definitely going to need a powerful GPU to get the most out of your monitor. Look at models like the NVIDIA RTX 3070 or AMD RX 6800 for solid performance at 1440p. Those can really handle fast-paced games smoothly! Just keep in mind that graphics cards can cost a ton, sometimes more than the rest of the PC combined, especially in the current market.

Thanks for the GPU advice! Any idea on a good overall setup that wouldn’t break the bank?

That's good to know! Do you have any recommendations for a full build?
