I'm in the process of building a new PC and just got myself a 5080. I'm debating between getting a 4K monitor with 240 Hz or a 1440p monitor with 480 Hz. Right now, I'm using a 1080p 144Hz monitor, so I'm definitely looking for an upgrade. I'd appreciate any suggestions on what might be best for my setup!

Personally, I think an ultrawide OLED 1440p monitor at 240 Hz is the way to go. With gaming performance still being a bit of a struggle at 4K, I wouldn’t consider it until tech improves further.

If you want fantastic visuals, go for an OLED 1440p. The colors are vibrant, and the HDR makes a huge difference in games. I recommend checking out some review channels for the latest recommendations!

For my setup, I found that anything above 240 Hz doesn't make a huge difference. I recommend going for an OLED 1440p monitor at 240 Hz. It's been the best upgrade I've made, and the visuals are stunning!

I agree that the jump from 240Hz to 480Hz isn't noticeable, but moving from 1440p to 4K is a significant upgrade. I'm currently using an AW3225QF, and it’s fantastic with my 5080!

Definitely look into a 4K OLED monitor, especially if your budget allows. The contrast and colors are breathtaking. This weekend has had some good monitor deals too, which is a plus!

It really depends on your FPS preferences. If you're okay with around 140 fps, then go for the 4K monitor. But if you want around 240 fps or higher, then stick with 1440p. I went with 4K for a great visual experience and just adjust settings when needed!
