What Motherboard Should I Choose for Optimal M.2 Slot Usage?

Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for a motherboard for my new build. I originally planned to buy the Gigabyte X870E Aorus, which has four M.2 slots. However, I found out that two of those slots (B and C) share bandwidth with the top PCIe x16 GPU slot, effectively cutting that slot's performance in half. I'm now looking for a motherboard that won't face this issue or one that minimizes it. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I heard that the X870E Tomahawk utilizes the bottom PCIe slot if necessary, so it might be a viable option depending on your needs. Make sure to look into that for your build!

Cool, I'll definitely give that a look. Thanks for the tip! 🙂

You might want to check out the MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk MAX WIFI. It seems to offer a good balance and won't compromise your GPU slot's bandwidth too much. It's a solid choice for building a new rig!

Someone just recommended that to me as well. It really looks like a good option!
