I recently bought a 16GB DDR5 RAM for my PC, but when I tried to upgrade from my old DDR4, I found out that my motherboard doesn't support DDR5 at all! It doesn't even fit. I didn't realize that was a limitation. Now I'm wondering if I should upgrade my motherboard, and if so, which one would be compatible? Here are my current specs:
- RTX 4060
- Ryzen 7 5700x
- B450M S2H V2 motherboard
Also, I already have a WiFi + Bluetooth adapter, so I'd prefer a motherboard that supports DDR5 but doesn't include built-in WiFi to save on costs. Any suggestions?

I’d say just return the RAM and get your money back. It won't really make a difference with your current setup. Plus, 8GB sticks of DDR5 are pretty underwhelming in comparison to 16GB sticks, so it's not worth it in the long run.
You'll need a new CPU, too, because the AM4 CPUs don't support DDR5 RAM. Just a heads up! And honestly, with your RTX 4060, upgrading to DDR5 might not give you any significant performance boost in games.
Oh man, so I might just end up returning the RAM then, right?
I've been seeing a lot of RAM errors while using After Effects, and even when playing games or opening many tabs—the "ran out of memory" error keeps popping up. I had allocated around 7000MB in Minecraft! Any ideas on how to fix these issues?
