What PC upgrades should I consider for better gaming performance?

Hey everyone! I'm not super tech-savvy when it comes to PCs; usually, I just rely on my friends to help me out. It's been a while since I've upgraded my rig, and I can really feel it compared to the recommended specs for some newer games. I mainly play single-player games like strategy games from Paradox and turn-based games like Baldur's Gate, but I'm looking to enhance my gaming experience for upcoming titles like Ghost of Yotai and various Fromsoft games. I want to definitely be able to play shooters with friends at at least the recommended specs. Currently, my PC feels quite outdated. Here are my specs:

- GPU: GTX 1650 Super 6GB
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H ATX AM4
- PSU: Corsair RM-750
- RAM: 2 sticks of 8GB DDR4
- Storage: 2 TB NVMe, 250 GB SSD, 1 TB HDD
- Monitor: AOC C24G1 24.0" 1920 x 1080 144 Hz Curved Monitor (plus a pretty basic second monitor)

I'm looking to see what parts I can upgrade to boost performance, ideally keeping the budget between $500 to $800. Thanks for any help!

You're already pretty set up, but if you upgrade your GPU and RAM, you’ll notice a significant increase in performance. Your CPU is still decent, just keep it in mind if you want to push for even better performance in the future!

If you can, grab a used 2080 Ti from eBay for around $400 and consider getting 32GB of RAM too. It can really help with overall performance without breaking the bank!

You're in a good position for upgrades! I'd suggest focusing on your GPU first, followed by the CPU and RAM if you want further enhancements. The GPU will provide the most noticeable difference in gaming.

Honestly, upgrading the GPU will give you the biggest immediate improvement. It’s perfect timing with newer games coming out. You might also want to boost your RAM to 16GB for more smoothness.

Upgrading your GPU and RAM could give you the best boost in performance right away. A new graphics card could help you hit those 60 fps at 1080p you’re aiming for, especially with the newer titles.
