I'm looking for advice on which power supply unit (PSU) I should buy for my recently upgraded PC. Here are my specs: I'm using an MSI B550M Pro VDH WiFi motherboard, a Ryzen 5 5600 CPU, and a 6700 XT GPU. I have 16GB of DDR4 RAM (2x8GB) at 3000MHz. Currently, I'm using a Silverstone 600W PSU. My storage setup includes one 1TB M.2 drive, two SSDs (500GB and 1TB), and four HDDs (1TB, 2TB, and 2x3TB). I've recently switched cases from a Cooler Master Q300L to a Corsair 600T, mainly because of its additional HDD and 5.25" bays. I'll primarily use the PC for gaming and some light video and photo editing. Right now, I'm only running some of my old storage because I'm unsure if my PSU can handle everything since it's 50W under the GPU's requirement. A local PC shop told me my setup is fine, but I want to know what wattage PSU I should ideally get, preferably on a budget. Thanks for your help!

For your setup, you could easily go with a quality 450W power supply. The wattage recommendation from GPU manufacturers is typically higher to account for less efficient PSUs, so don't stress too much. For example, my RTX 3060 Ti is recommended to have a 650W PSU, but it only uses around 250-270W while gaming. So, a 650W PSU would give you some wiggle room, especially with all your storage devices connected.
I recommend the MSI MAG 650BN, which is 80+ Bronze rated and costs around 50-60 USD. It's a solid choice without breaking the bank!
Do HDDs even draw much power though? Just curious.

Got it, thanks! So it seems like a 650W PSU should work well for what I need.
