I'm building a PC with a Ryzen 9600x, GTX 1080 Ti, B450 MSI Tomahawk, a WD Blue SSD, and 16GB of CL30 RAM. I'm trying to figure out what power supply (PSU) to buy. I've seen suggestions for around 450 watts, but I've also read that it's a good idea to get a bit more wattage for future upgrades, especially if I decide to upgrade my GPU down the line. Any advice would be appreciated!

I'd recommend just going with a 1000W PSU. That way you won't have to worry about power down the line, plus it’ll give you plenty of headroom for upgrades. Just make sure it's a modular one for easier cable management!
It's tough to recommend a specific wattage without knowing what GPU you plan to upgrade to. Personally, I always choose a PSU that meets my current needs with a bit of extra wattage for efficiency. If I later decide to upgrade, I just sell the old PSU and grab a new one. But I get that isn't ideal for everyone!
I get where you're coming from! The used market isn't very popular here either, so I'd rather not deal with that. I won't upgrade for at least 3 years, and when I do, it'll likely be something like a 9070 or 8070.

1000W seems like overkill and pretty pricey! I'm pretty sure I won’t ever max out that kind of power.
