I've noticed that many winners seem to have a common set of skills, which leaves me feeling confused. I did manage to win a hackathon once, but I believe it was mostly because of my teammates. I have some knowledge of web development, but our team formed spontaneously, and they were focused on game development. To contribute, I had to quickly learn Unity and a bit of C#. However, I feel like I didn't contribute enough to really earn that win. I'd like to know what specific skills or programming languages I should focus on, and what kinds of projects I could build with them.
