What PSU Should I Choose for an RTX 5090 and DEG1 eGPU?

I'm looking to buy an RTX 5090, probably going with a Zotac Solid model since I'm not into paying scalper prices for the Founders Edition. My setup is a mini battle station with a Ryzen 9 7900, B650e-i motherboard, 96GB RAM, and currently an RTX A2000 powered by an HDPlex 250W. I'm diving into a bit more AI work with the RTX 5090 as my main engine and might do some gaming, but my focus is AI. I know there are other GPU options like the 3090, 4090, or 5080, but I can afford the 5090, and when I want more portability, I can just unplug the eGPU. My DEG1 by Minisforum doesn't come with a PSU, so I need to get one. I read that even though the GPU needs 600W, it's recommended to have around 1200W for more intensive AI tasks. I'm looking for recommendations for a PSU in the platinum/titanium class. I've considered the Seasonic PRIME, Corsair HXi Series HX1200i, and Seasonic Vertex PX-1200. Are these pretty much the same quality-wise? Also, since it's an open case, should I be worried about heat, or will the fans handle it?

Most of those PSUs are pretty similar, but just ensure you get one that's ATX 3.1 to support the needed 12v2x6 connector. If you undervolt and overclock the 5090, you can often bring its power usage down to about 450W and might be just fine with a 1000W PSU. Check out some guides on undervolting for the 5090; it really helps!

So, can you only undervolt specific models? For the Zotac Solid, should I always go for the OC version?
