I'm a DevOps engineer with a bit over 5 years of experience and I'm currently in North Carolina. I'm trying to figure out a good salary range to ask for in my next job. Any insights or resources would be really helpful!

Salary can really depend on your specific area and the company. Different places have different definitions of 'DevOps,' so it's good to clarify that. You might want to check out the Robert Half salary guide, even though I’m not a huge fan of it. I’ve found it somewhat useful. Also, Glassdoor has salary info that can help you gauge what's typical for your position. Good luck with your search!

I’d say you’re looking at about $115k to $145k, depending on whether the position is remote or in-person. For context, I currently make around $118k in my remote role, so that's a fair baseline to consider!

Thanks for the insight! I do prefer remote roles, so that gives me a clearer picture of what to aim for.
