I'm noticing my PC is getting pretty slow lately, and I'm not sure what to do first. Should I start by checking for driver updates or would it be better to just go ahead and reinstall Windows? Any advice on where to begin troubleshooting would be really helpful!

Make sure to clean out the fans and check your temperatures! If it’s running hot, consider reapplying thermal paste too—it can make a big difference.

Check your CPU, RAM, and SSD usage through Task Manager. If one of them shows 100% usage, that's likely the problem. Also, verify your CPU speed and temperatures. If everything looks okay but your PC still feels slow, think about when exactly it's lagging—if it's just overall slowness, a reinstall might be the way to go.

Restarting your PC can sometimes clear up issues right away. After that, check your temperatures, make sure XMP/EXPO is enabled, and look at any background applications. If it's still slow after all that, you might need to consider reinstalling Windows.

Open up Task Manager to see how many programs are running at once. You might be surprised! Also, check your startup apps in Windows settings to see if there's anything unnecessary loading up when you boot. Reinstalling Windows can help, but make sure to back up your important files before doing that, just in case something goes wrong during the reinstallation!

First thing's first, check your temps! If it's too hot, that could lead to thermal throttling, which makes everything slow down. Keeping your PC cool is super important!

What are your PC specs? Are you noticing slow startup times, or is it just lagging once you're at the desktop? Getting more details can really help pinpoint what's going on.
