What should I consider buying instead of the 5060 Ti if prices keep rising?

I'm looking to build a PC specifically for training AI models, and the 5060 Ti with 16GB seems like a great choice. However, it's currently priced about $100-200 above its MSRP. Should I go ahead and buy it now, or am I better off waiting for alternative options?

I've heard that the 470 Super could be a solid option if you're looking for something cheaper.

You might want to consider AMD alternatives. The benchmarks for AMD cards, especially the RX 9070, can be competitive for AI workloads. Sometimes, AMD offers better price-to-performance ratios than Nvidia, especially in certain regions.

Honestly, I don't see prices going down anytime soon, so it might be a good idea to snag the 5060 Ti now before the price climbs even higher.

Unfortunately, prices are likely to stay elevated for at least a year or two. You may just have to accept that paying a premium for the 5060 Ti is the new norm. Don't hold your breath for a price drop.

What are the chances that Nvidia will release a new card soon that could be a better deal than the 5060 Ti?

If the prices for new GPUs are too high, consider getting a used one until the market normalizes. It might be a while before we see a decent price drop, potentially not until next-gen cards are released, which could take a few years.

Do you have a recommendation on where to buy used GPUs safely?
