My current tablet, which I mainly use for watching videos and reading, has started malfunctioning with a loose power button. Browsing through Amazon has me feeling uneasy with the prices I'm seeing, and I have trust issues with buying used products. Even though they're cheaper, I worry about getting scammed. Generally, I prefer tech that isn't Apple-related since I want to avoid the hassle I experienced with their products. I also have another tablet, but I'm not sure if a OnePlus tablet would handle my media consumption, which includes YouTube, manga, and anime. This might seem like an odd question for advice, but I'm just curious about your thoughts!

I have a OnePlus pad and while my usage has shifted mostly to reading eBooks, it’s okay for watching the occasional video. Just keep in mind, it might not be the best option for reading. If you’re looking for a versatile device, you could also think about a folding phone as an alternative to a tablet.
It really depends on your needs. I got a Redmi Pad for about £80, and it meets all my requirements just fine.
Maybe consider waiting it out a little. Stick to your budget and only buy a new one when it’s absolutely necessary or you find a really good deal.
I've tried many Android tablets before giving up and just buying older iPads. They last a long time with few issues compared to Android models. I currently have three iPads, my newest being from 2021, and it’s still my main device at home. Even my older models work well, despite being used and having screen damage.
Have you thought about getting your current tablet repaired? It might save you the stress of buying a new one and could be a simpler solution.

I looked into it, but the repair service said they’d have to remove the screen and didn’t have the parts.
