Hey everyone! I'm excited about my new PC that I built a few months back. Right now, I'm gaming on a 1440p OLED monitor with a 5070 Ti. My cousin has a 4090 that he hardly uses, and we've been mulling over the idea of trading. I'd give him my 5070 Ti and my monitor for the 4090, and then look to buy a new Asus 4K OLED monitor with 240Hz refresh rate. Do you think this trade is a smart move? Also, since both cards are Nvidia, do I need to uninstall my drivers before swapping? Can I just plug it in and go?

Definitely a solid trade! The 4090 is valued over $2000, so even after getting a new OLED monitor, you'll come out ahead in this deal!
For sure, you're winning that trade! The performance you'll get from a 4090 is way better than what you have now.
Absolutely, that's a good deal. Just make sure your power supply can handle the 4090. It's a beast! Check this power requirement chart to be sure: https://tpucdn.com/review/msi-geforce-rtx-5070-ti-ventus-3x/images/power-maximum.png
I've got an 850W 80 Plus Gold Thermaltake PSU and a 7800X3D. Do you think I'll need to upgrade for the 4090?

I found this Asus monitor I'm considering: https://www.bestbuy.com/product/asus-rog-swift-32-dual-mode-4k-240hz-fhd-480hz-oled-0-03ms-gaming-monitor-with-freesync-and-hdr-displayport-hdmi-black/JJGGLR4HC4/sku/6588545?sb_share_source=PDP&ref=app_pdp&loc=pdp_page
