I ordered an Asus Prime OC 5070 Ti from Amazon on the 31st, but it hasn't shipped yet. PCpartpicker shows it as "available soon," and the expected delivery date is between January 7-9. I have all my other parts ready for my build, except for the GPU and monitor, but I do have a 1080p monitor I can use temporarily, and since my Ryzen 7 9800X3D has an integrated GPU, I'm thinking about assembling everything tomorrow just to test it out. My dilemma is whether I should cancel my order and buy one that's definitely in stock before prices potentially rise. I got the GPU for only $50 over MSRP and I really want the Prime OC model. Also, I'm curious if Amazon would cancel my order if it takes too long or if it's just delayed. By the way, I have a Prime free trial—funny to order an Asus Prime with Amazon Prime! This is my first build.

I’d be a little cautious about Amazon. I've seen some stories where people received packages with just bricks inside. But if your other parts look good so far, you might be in the clear. Just film your unboxing to document it, just in case!
Honestly, I’d suggest waiting a bit longer. I ordered a 5080 from them on December 1st and it arrived way later than expected, on the 27th. It was frustrating, but sometimes these delays happen. You've got the integrated GPU to get you by until your card arrives, right? Plus, it sounds like you’ve got everything else organized! Just hang in there!
I hear you! I’ve been there—waiting for a big shipment feels like torture, especially when you have everything else ready. But yeah, at least you can test your system out for now. It’s a good balance.

That’s definitely a concern! I’ll make sure to film it—better to be safe than sorry!
