I made a bit of a mistake today while changing my RAM settings in the BIOS. I switched my RAM module from standard to EXPO1 and let the process run. However, when I came back, it wasn't finished, and I thought it was stuck. I ended up powering off my PC. Now, when I tried to boot it up, I noticed both red and yellow lights on the motherboard, and it wouldn't boot initially. After a few more attempts, I let it sit for a bit, and it did finally boot up. My question is whether I might have damaged anything and what steps I should take to address any potential issues from this mishap.

You could try pulling the AC cord and removing the CMOS battery for a minute or two to reset everything back to default settings. After that, enable XMP and leave it be; there's not much point in fine-tuning for a minor performance boost that you likely won't notice.
It sounds like your RAM might not be compatible with the EXPO1 setting. I’d recommend checking your BIOS settings and tweaking them manually if needed. The red light usually indicates that the memory is just initializing, so it might not be any severe damage.
It actually does run; I was able to switch from 4800 to 6000. So, maybe it wasn't that bad after all!
I found a CMOS reset button on my motherboard, and luckily, it did boot up in the end. Just a bit worried about any possible damage to the motherboard.
