I'm planning to switch from an Nvidia GPU to an AMD one today, but I'm unsure if there's anything specific I need to do since my old graphics card is completely broken and I can't uninstall the drivers traditionally. I heard it's best to remove the old drivers using some software, but without the old GPU installed, will that cause any issues?

You should be fine! Just run DDU with your new AMD GPU installed and install the AMD drivers afterward. It's super straightforward!
Haha, go back in time to make a better choice! Just kidding, but I truly hope this upgrade goes smoothly for you!
Honestly, just go ahead and do it. Just remember to run DDU for a smooth transition!
No worries! You can definitely clean out the old drivers without the Nvidia card in your PC. Just use a tool called DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to wipe out the leftover Nvidia drivers, or you can even uninstall them by manually deleting the files if you want. After that, just go ahead and install the required AMD drivers and you should be set!
Thanks for the tip! I’ll do that before I install the new card.
For sure! DDU will guide you through removing the old drivers and making sure everything's clean for the new setup.
Haha, thank you! I got a good deal on a 7600, so I’m looking forward to the upgrade.
