I've been attempting to mount my new air cooler, but the GPU was blocking my way. When I tried to remove it, I pressed the push button, which was out of reach, using a screwdriver and accidentally broke it. I'm really stressed about whether I've damaged my GPU or motherboard. Should I attempt to run my PC now?

No need to panic! That broken piece is just the PCIe latch, and it's not critical for the GPU to function. It mainly keeps the GPU secure in the slot. Just be extra cautious to avoid moving your PC while it's powered on, and you should be fine.
You're in good shape! From what you've described, it sounds like the latch just popped out, which sometimes happens. It's designed this way to prevent damage if it's blocked. You can often just snap it back in place. If you really want replacements, they are usually available online, but it's likely you won't need to worry about it.
Don't stress too much! I broke my PCIe latch a while back when I was building my PC too, and four years later, I've never had an issue. Just keep in mind that if you need to move your PC, the GPU will be a bit less secure, but it should work just fine.
