I was playing Black Ops 3 with a friend and didn't have a client to protect myself from Remote Access Trojan (RAT) attacks. Suddenly, someone joined our private lobby, and I freaked out and closed the game using Task Manager. I ran Windows Defender but it found nothing. Now, my IP address appears to be located in Jacksonville, Florida, and I'm really unsure about what steps I should take next. Can anyone help me?

Just so you know, a Remote Access Trojan (RAT) gives hackers complete control over your device, but for someone to install it, you'd usually need to download something. Joining your private lobby doesn't automatically mean you got infected. It’s more likely just a glitch with the IP geolocation.
It's actually pretty common for IP addresses to show slightly incorrect locations. Most of the time, it doesn't mean you've been hacked or have malware on your device. Don’t panic just yet!

True, but old Call of Duty games are known for having RAT exploits, so it’s something to consider.
