I accidentally dropped my iPhone 13 Pro Max into a full sink for less than a second. I pulled it out immediately, took off the case, emptied the speakers, and powered it off for about five hours before checking it. Since it's supposed to be waterproof, I assumed it would be fine. However, now my regular charger won't work, but a different charger does. I'm worried I might be damaging the phone by trying to charge it. I've dried the phone thoroughly using a fan and didn't use rice, but it still shows that there's water in the charging port. Am I in trouble?

It sounds like your phone should be fine! iPhones, especially the 13 Pro Max, are rated for quite a bit of water resistance. If your phone was intact before the drop, it shouldn’t have any problems. It's good that you dried it properly without rice. Just give it a little more time to dry out completely. If you can, try a wireless charger to see if that helps bypass the charging port issue.
Have you thought about using a wireless charger? It might help you avoid any potential issues with the charging port while it dries out. Hopefully, you can get everything back to normal soon!
