What should I do if my phone got wet and won’t turn on?

My phone got soaked and it's been about 20 hours without it working. I couldn't turn it off since the buttons are unresponsive, and I can't unlock it because the '0' button isn't working. I've placed it in rice and used a fan to help dry it out for the past 7 hours. Do you think this will help with the button issue, or is my phone broken for good?

Honestly, it sounds like your phone might be dead. Water damage can be pretty severe, and even if it seems to dry out, there's a good chance something shorted out.

Yeah, I've heard that water can leave behind minerals that cause issues later on.

Have you tried to take it to a repair shop? They might be able to salvage it.

You’ll want to leave it alone for at least two days without trying to turn it back on. Giving it time to dry completely increases your chances of saving it. If it still doesn’t work after that, it might be time to consider buying a new one.

But what if it won't turn off? That's my issue.
