What should I do with my old SSD after cloning to a new one?

Hey there! I recently upgraded my PC from an old 500GB SSD to a new 1TB MK.2 SSD. I used DiskGenius to clone the old SSD to the new one while both were connected, then I switched them out and installed the new SSD in the old one's slot. Everything is running great, and I love the extra space! Now I'm wondering about my old SSD. Is it safe to put it back in another slot to reset it for extra storage? Do I need to adjust anything in the BIOS? Also, I noticed that the SSD doesn't seem fully secured to the motherboard and am using an old screw, but what are those screws called? Should I check the motherboard manual for that? Thanks a lot, I'm a bit lost here!

You can definitely install both SSDs simultaneously since you've already got Windows set up on your new drive. Boot up your PC and double-check that your current C: drive is the new one. Once you've confirmed that, you can wipe your old SSD using diskpart by typing 'clean all' for a thorough reset, or just 'clean' if you're planning to reuse it without overwriting everything.

Cool! I was afraid for nothing then, but I wanted to be sure!
