I've been using an iPhone SE since 2017, and I'm comfortable with it in my non-dominant hand. However, the newer models are just too big for me to use with one hand. The iPhone 13 mini was fine for this, but now the smallest option available is the iPhone 16e, which is nearly the size of the 17. I'm thinking about switching to the Samsung S25, which is a similar size to the 16e. However, I keep hearing about 'leaving the ecosystem,' and I don't fully understand what that means for me. I also have an iPad Air, AirPods, and a Mac Mini. Will I face any problems if I don't have an iPhone anymore? I rely on my iPhone for two-factor authentication for Apple services. Is there an alternative for that?

Short and sweet: You might end up disappointed if you decide to switch. Just a heads up!
You're going to lose everything that ties you to the Apple ecosystem. I'm curious, why switch to the Samsung if the size issue is your main concern? The S25 isn't noticeably smaller than your iPhone.
If you switch away from an iPhone, you might lose access to some really handy features like Apple Pay, Find My iPhone, and the shared clipboard. Also, syncing things like notes, contacts, reminders, and calendar events with your other Apple devices through iCloud might become tricky since those are designed to work seamlessly within the Apple ecosystem.
It really depends on what Apple features you use regularly. In my family, we rely on things like Find My iPhone and the ability to share photo streams and FaceTime calls. If you switch to Android, you would lose out on all those perks. So think about how much you use those features. You might miss them a lot!

Exactly! Plus, if you're using Apple subscriptions or family sharing features, those will also be lost when you switch.
