Your build looks solid! Just a quick tip: you don’t really need anti-static wristbands anymore. Unless you’re building on carpet while shuffling around, you're usually fine as long as you ground yourself occasionally. So don’t stress too much about static electricity making a mess of your components!
Definitely a learning curve! Here are some handy tips: check your motherboard manual—it’s your best buddy! Don’t force parts if they don’t fit, and use a minimal amount of thermal paste. Also, make sure you disable onboard video. Getting just the critical components set up first to check if your CPU posts is smart, and remember to take your time. Just to add, RAM can actually take a bit of force to click into place, so don’t be too afraid to press down!
That's true—modern chips are way tougher against static than they used to be. I’ve been in this game a long time and never bothered with a strap myself.
