What Should I Upgrade First: My GPU or Monitor?

I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 5700x with an RX 6600 graphics card and a basic 1440p monitor that only supports 60Hz at 4ms input lag. I'm trying to decide whether I should invest in a 165Hz 1440p monitor or upgrade to a 5060 Ti or 7700 XT GPU. Also, between the two GPUs, which one would be the better option?

It really depends on your gaming habits! If you play graphic-intensive AAA games often, upgrading your GPU to the 5060 Ti is a smart move, especially if it's the 16GB version—it's likely to perform better than the RX 6600.

Honestly, I'd suggest upgrading both your GPU and monitor simultaneously when you can. However, if you're set on doing it one by one, I think the 5060 Ti with 16GB will give you a good performance boost for gaming. Just keep in mind you won’t get the full potential from it with your current 60Hz monitor.

Yeah, 60Hz is quite limited these days. If you're leaning towards AAA titles, definitely consider upgrading your GPU first. The 5060 Ti would be a better fit for your setup, but just remember that your CPU might hold it back a bit.
