Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on upgrading my aging PC. A friend helped me put it together a while back, but it's definitely lagging these days. I mostly use it for basic tasks and play Oldschool Runescape, but I've been experiencing a lot of slowdowns, especially when opening apps like Discord or watching YouTube videos on my new 27-inch LG monitor (144hz, 1440p, but I have it downscaled to 1080p). Here are my current specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H Wifi-CF
- RAM: 16GB DDR4
I'm hoping to spend about $400-$500 on upgrades. Should I focus on upgrading the CPU, GPU, or something else first? Any specific recommendations would be great. Thanks for the help!

I'd recommend upgrading both the CPU and GPU if you can. This combination should significantly enhance your overall performance and help with the lag you're experiencing when multitasking.
Consider getting a GPU like the 9060xt 16GB. It will perform well at 1440p in the games you're playing, even though it might be bottlenecked by your CPU. You can always upgrade the CPU later on, but that extra VRAM will help keep the GPU relevant for future games too. Just make sure your power supply can handle it!

I second that! A solid upgrade could really make a difference in how smooth everything runs.
