Hey everyone! I'm looking for advice on upgrading my PC to enhance my gaming experience. Here's what I currently have:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
- GPU: GTX 1080 Ti Strix 11GB
- PSU: Corsair CX750F
- RAM: 32 GB (running at 2133 MHz)
- Motherboard: AsRock B450 AM4
I use my PC mainly for studying Software Engineering and gaming, but I've noticed it's struggling a bit with newer games. For instance, I'm playing titles like CS2, The Finals, and Arc Raiders, and in The Finals, I'm only getting around 20-70 FPS even on the lowest settings. I'd love to hear your thoughts on what component I should upgrade next to boost my gaming performance, while also keeping future-proofing in mind.

It looks like your RAM is running at JEDEC speeds; you're missing out on performance. Consider checking the RAM settings in CPU-Z and potentially using XMP/EXPO profiles. That could give you a boost for gaming without any hardware upgrades!
If you're looking for the most significant improvement, I suggest upgrading your GPU first. Something like an RX 9060 XT, RTX 5070, or RTX 9070 would really boost your performance. After that, consider moving to a Ryzen 5 5600 for better CPU performance.
Yeah, I agree! Don’t overspend on the GPU; focus on one that complements your setup.

That's true, but keep in mind that it might not be worth investing too much in a high-end GPU with your current AM4 build. A 4070 or 4070 Ti could be a more balanced upgrade.
