What Should I Upgrade on My PC for Better Performance?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my current PC since I'm encountering framerate issues with some of the newer games lately. I'm not super knowledgeable about tech, so I'm not really sure where the bottleneck might be (though I suspect it could be the CPU). Here are my current specs:

- Intel Core i7 10700k
- 32GB 3200MHz DDR4 RAM
- MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI motherboard
- MSI RTX 3080 6G
- Windows 11 Home 64-bit

I use two monitors: a 1440p 165Hz for gaming and a 1080p 60Hz as a secondary.

I'm particularly interested in playing games like Cyberpunk 2077, Wuthering Waves, and others that are quite graphically demanding. Ideally, I want to maintain at least 60fps with high or ultra settings and ray tracing enabled. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I think it’s also worth checking your cooling and if your CPU is throttling. Make sure you have good airflow in your case! If you’re really noticing a bottleneck, upgrading to something newer may help, but your specs seem decent enough for the games you're playing.

Good point! I’ll check my cooling setup and see if that’s affecting performance.

Your PC setup is pretty solid! The i7 10700k and RTX 3080 should handle most games well. If you're running into framerate issues specifically in games like Cyberpunk 2077, it could be due to the game's optimization rather than your hardware. You might want to consider tweaking some settings or checking for updates and patches for the game. If you’re still having problems, upgrading to a newer CPU could help, but your current one is still quite good.

Yeah, I agree! Sometimes just lowering some of the settings can make a big difference without needing to upgrade anything.
