Hey everyone! I'm planning to build a new PC with a Z790 motherboard like the ASUS ROG, TUF Gaming, or MSI MAG Tomahawk, which have plenty of M.2 slots and SATA connections. I have some specific storage needs: I need over 1TB for the system, 500GB for documents, a big 3-4TB for high-res music, 2-3TB for holiday photos, around 1.5-2TB for movies, and another 2-3TB for 4K videos from my travels. I'm looking at using SSDs and HDDs from brands like Samsung for SSDs and Seagate or WD for HDDs. How should I organize my drives, and what specific models would you recommend? Here are the items I'm considering: a Samsung 990 PRO SSD and either a Seagate Firecuda or WD Black HDD.

If you're looking for additional storage, I'd recommend checking out a recertified Seagate IronWolf Pro HDD. For example, in Germany, you can find an 18TB one for a great price on mindfactory.de. It could be an option in your area too! That way, you won’t run out of space anytime soon. You can keep important files on SSDs and use the HDD for backup, which is always a smart move.

I'm from Romania, and I totally agree about not putting everything on one drive to avoid losing data. I was planning to use an M.2 SSD for photos and videos, but I appreciate the recommendation!
