What to Do About the Red Light on My Motherboard?

I'm having a bit of trouble with my PC build. There's a red light that keeps flickering between the CPU and RAM on my motherboard whenever I turn it on. It lights up on the CPU for a split second, then shifts to the RAM. I've made sure everything is seated properly, tried removing and reseating the components, and even swapped the RAM with new sticks, but nothing works. My PC won't boot, although all the RGB lights and fans spin up. My monitor doesn't get any signal either, and I've triple-checked compatibility among all the parts. Has anyone else experienced this? What could be wrong?

Have you tried resetting the BIOS? Sometimes a simple CMOS reset can clear these kinds of issues. Also, make sure that your BIOS is up to date. If you're able to access your motherboard manual, it should have instructions for flashing the BIOS even if you can't boot up. Additionally, try testing with one stick of RAM at a time to see if one of them is faulty. And don’t forget to check that all power connections are secure on both the motherboard and the PSU.

I totally get where you're coming from! It might indeed be a RAM issue, especially since some motherboards don’t officially support certain RAM models. I noticed that your Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5 6400 might not be compatible if the specs state it supports only 32GB DDR5 6000. It's definitely worth checking into that. Also, sometimes the pressure from the cooler can affect the RAM seating, too. Good luck, and let us know if resetting the BIOS helps!
