I'm experiencing an issue where the Wi-Fi button on my device has completely disappeared. I'm using an AMD Ryzen 7 7700x 8-core processor, and I checked the device manager only to find that my Wi-Fi adapter is missing as well, even though it's connected. How can I troubleshoot this problem?

If your Wi-Fi adapter is USB, try plugging it into a different port. Sometimes it shows up as an 'unknown device' in the device manager. If that doesn’t work, test it on another computer to see if it’s detected. If neither recognizes it, unfortunately, the adapter may be dead and might need replacing.
This happened to me due to a BIOS firmware update. It got really frustrating because even my USB Wi-Fi antenna wouldn't connect. I eventually accessed the BIOS and saw that both IPv4 and IPv6 were turned off. Have you installed any recent updates that could have caused this issue?
How do you access the BIOS to check? I haven’t done that before.

Thanks for the suggestion! My Wi-Fi adapter connects with two pins, so you might be right about it being dead.
