I accidentally dropped my iPhone 11 into about half a meter (around 1.6 feet) of water. It was underwater for less than 30 seconds. I took it out immediately and turned it off. How long should I wait before considering turning it back on?

Make sure to dry off the charging port before you think about charging it. It should be alright since it's an iPhone 11. Just cross your fingers that the seals are still intact!

It really depends on the kind of water. If it's fresh water, you might be okay, but if it's salt or chlorinated water, it could be more problematic. Just make sure to let it dry out well before powering it back up.

The iPhone 11 has an IP68 rating, meaning it's waterproof up to 2 meters for 30 minutes. So, technically, you should be fine. Just ensure that the charging port is dry before trying to turn it back on.

I'd recommend waiting before turning it on. Water likely got inside, and letting it dry out reduces the risk of a short circuit. Keeping it in a warm, dry spot or using a fan can help speed things up. Just be patient with it!
