I've been noticing a rise in mail bomb attacks lately, where a flood of emails hits the inbox in a very short time frame. Apart from using Proofpoint, I'm curious to know about other effective tools and solutions that people have found useful in real-world scenarios for combating this issue. Any recommendations?

After a mail bomb attack, attackers often reach out to your users via Teams pretending to be IT support, trying to 'fix' the email chaos. It's crucial to educate staff about these tactics to avoid falling victim after such floods of emails. Stay vigilant!
I’ve had great success with Abnormal Security. They implemented a mail bomb blocker that basically ended the attack within 15-20 minutes. I had to call customer service to get it activated for a specific mailbox, but it made a huge difference. Just a heads up, it might be a bit costly for smaller organizations.

That sounds promising, but I'll have to look into pricing since we’re a smaller setup.
