Hey everyone! I'm new to my role (just 7 weeks in) and I'm eager to find tools that can help my junior team work more efficiently and become more proactive rather than reactive. I'm planning to purchase NinjaOne next Monday, but I'm looking for additional resources or software that could assist them further. Also, if anyone has suggestions for a budget-friendly network monitoring tool, I'd really appreciate it since we're a not-for-profit organization based in the UK. Thanks so much for your help!

I like using Milwaukee and Klein tools, but I guess that's more on the physical side! For software, just make sure whatever you choose aligns with your team's workflow and needs.
For network monitoring, definitely check out Zabbix. It's free, and while you can pay for support and training, it's pretty straightforward to set up and can monitor a wide range of systems. I also recommend using PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory for software updates and app deployment, but keep in mind they might not offer a free version anymore since they acquired NinjaOne.
You might want to give RoyalTS a look. It's a useful remote desktop tool that supports RDP, SSH, and even some Hyper-V management. The best part is the file-sharing feature for shared credentials—very convenient and reasonably priced!
For network monitoring, LibreNMS is a great option, and it's open-source! For patch management, you could use Action1, which is free for up to 200 endpoints—perfect for a not-for-profit organization like yours!

Just a heads up, NinjaOne is a commercial tool that kinda replaces what Zabbix does, so you might find yourself with a solid alternative there too.
