What type of hard drive is best for backing up data?

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of replacing my computer's hard drive because I want to store some 4K movies. I'm a bit anxious about losing data, which is why I'm not considering SSD backups right now—I've heard they're harder to recover data from. I came across an article about external hard drives and their data recovery rates. I'm wondering, is it true that a larger RAM on the hard drive means I'm less likely to lose data after partitioning? Any advice on hard drives for backups would be greatly appreciated!

Hard drives are usually more affordable for each terabyte compared to SSDs, plus they can often be recovered. I recommend getting a couple of hard drives and rotating them for your backups, just to be safe.

Yeah, juggling too many drives can get confusing! I’m currently using just one cloud drive along with one hard drive for backups to keep it simple.

I've been looking at a few different options for backup drives myself, and I plan to choose between the WD My Passport, Seagate Backup Plus Slim, and Toshiba Canvio Basics. A 1TB capacity should work well for what you're looking to store.
