I built this PC a decade ago, and I'm looking to boost its performance to better handle graphics and to be compatible with Windows 11. Right now, I'm leaning towards upgrading the CPU and RAM, but I'm also wondering if I should upgrade the motherboard. Here are the specific upgrades I'm considering:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
- RAM: Kingston Fury Beast 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200
My graphics card is getting a bit long in the tooth but still performs well at 1080p. What do you think? Do you recommend upgrading the motherboard too? Thanks!

If your current setup can't run Windows 11, it's a great idea to upgrade your motherboard. I'd recommend looking into a 550M series motherboard like the PRO B550M-VC WIFI for an budget-friendly option. If you're ready to spend more, go for a 5800X3D CPU and around 32GB of RAM at 3600MHz with low latency for a significant performance boost.

Just a heads-up on pricing: new 5800X3D CPUs are pretty pricey at over $500 right now. You might find better value sticking with an AM4 setup and getting something like the 5800X, which is around $155.
