Before making any decisions, consider if there's a specific performance goal. The i9-12900K is quite powerful. If you play competitive games at 1080p, a CPU like the 9800X3D could be beneficial, but make sure you actually need it. If everything is running okay, you might not need to change anything right now! But you could upgrade to an SSD if you haven't already, although that's not urgently needed. Sometimes just reapplying thermal paste can do wonders!
Honestly, your rig is already pretty awesome! I’d suggest looking at a CPU upgrade. If you want to stick with your existing board and RAM, consider the Intel i7-14700K or i9-14900K for a nice performance bump. If you’re up for changing platforms, going with AMD's 9800X3D or 9950X3D will give you a significant upgrade, but you’ll need a new motherboard and RAM for that, which can get pricey. Expect around $400-700 for the Intel upgrade and about $1000-1400 for the AMD route. If you have a Microcenter nearby, you might score a great bundle deal and save some cash!
So if I go AMD, will the difference be noticeable compared to just upgrading to the 14900K?
Also, I've been running into some issues with device restarts, so I was hoping upgrades would help fix that.

Right!? I mean, your system is solid as it is!
