Hey everyone! I'm getting back into gaming with my old PC, but it's pretty underwhelming at the moment. Here are the specs:
- **CPU**: Intel Pentium G4560
- **GPU**: Nvidia GTX 1050
- **HDD**: Seagate Fire Cuda SSHD 1TB
- **MBD**: Asrock H110M-DGS R3.0
I know it's not great, but I'm hoping to play some games like CSGO, PUBG, and a few indie titles without spending a lot. Low graphics settings are fine as long as I can play. I did a benchmark and realized my GPU isn't cutting it. I'm considering upgrading to an Nvidia RTX 3060-Ti but I'm unsure about compatibility and if that's the best move. Any suggestions on what to upgrade and what would be affordable? Thanks in advance!

How much do you have to spend? If you're looking at around €300, that's a decent starting point, but you may still be better off saving up a bit for more impactful upgrades. If the GTX 1050 is enough for you right now, consider that route.
Honestly, you might be looking at a complete overhaul since upgrades are very limited here. A modern CPU and an SSD would be your best bet. The GTX 1050 can still handle indie games and CSGO decently well. If you put around $270 into an AMD R5 5600 or Intel i5 12400F with a compatible motherboard and a 1TB SSD, that’d give you a solid boost. Just keep in mind that pairing a powerful GPU with your current CPU won’t maximize performance. Save up a bit if you can for a better upgrade path!
If you want to go smaller and just do a CPU upgrade, the 7700k could work, but it’s quite pricey for what it is. You could also look for a cheap used AM4 CPU and motherboard combo like a 3600x to give your system a better chance.
I agree with others—upgrading this setup might not be worth it. It could be more practical to invest in a new PC altogether. You might get better specs and performance for the future without breaking the bank.
