What Upgrades Should I Consider for My PC After Adding a New GPU?

Hey everyone! I just upgraded my old PC by installing an RTX 5060 TI 8GB GPU, and I'm looking for advice on additional upgrades I should consider. Here are my current specifications:

- Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4.00GHz
- Corsair DDR4 RAM @ 1072MHz, 32GB total
- Motherboard: ASUSTeK Z170 PRO GAMING (LGA1151)
- New GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 TI 8GB - InnoVISION
- Power Supply: FXS TS 550 Watts

I'm thinking about upgrading my power supply to a Corsair RMe Series RM850e (850 Watts, 80 Plus Gold certified) and possibly the CPU, though I'm not sure if I really need to do that. My budget is tight since I got the GPU for a good deal despite my PC being older. Any suggestions on what else I should upgrade to enhance performance? Thanks!

Definitely consider upgrading your power supply because 550 Watts might be on the lower end for newer GPUs. An 850 Watt PSU is a solid choice and will give you some headroom for future upgrades. As for your CPU, while it's still decent, it might bottleneck performance, especially in CPU-intensive games. Depending on your budget, look into a more modern CPU and motherboard combo—B550 boards are affordable and a significant upgrade if you eventually want to enhance your system further.

Yeah, a B550 or even an older B450 motherboard would give you more upgrade options down the line, plus you could use a newer CPU that won't bottleneck your new GPU as much.

I’d suggest you stick with your current DDR4 RAM and just focus on your PSU for now. A motherboard upgrade can be expensive, and if your current setup runs okay for now, maybe wait until you can also afford a new CPU. If anything, reinstalling your OS can help get rid of any unnecessary bottlenecks, and your system might run smoother without heavy upgrades just yet.

Good to know! I just want to make sure my new GPU performs well without any major issues, so I appreciate the advice.
