What Upgrades Should I Consider for My PC Build?

I'm currently running a build with a Ryzen 5 5600G CPU, paired with a GTX 750 GPU and a B550M motherboard, along with 16GB of DDR4 3600 RAM. This setup has been great for gaming at 1080p, even with modern titles. I'm thinking about what components I could upgrade, especially considering the insane prices for GPUs and RAM right now. I'm particularly interested in potentially upgrading the CPU to something better than the 5600G, but I'm also planning ahead for a future 1440p upgrade perhaps in a year or two. What do you all suggest?

If you're looking at an upgrade, the Ryzen 5 5600X, 5700X, or even the 5800X would be excellent choices. For future-proofing your setup for 1440p, I recommend aiming for a stronger GPU too—like the RX 6800 XT with 16GB of VRAM. That should give you a solid boost!

About the future-proofing—since there isn’t too much price difference between the 5700X and 5600X, should I just go for the 5700X? Or is it better to hold off on upgrades until I can change the motherboard too?
